More General Print Spooler Errors

We are using R&R Infinity, XBase, build 12.0.002. We have one system that was able to use it properly before it suddenly started giving her a "General Print Spooler Error" whenever she tries to send anything to the printer through R&R. Her printer is fine otherwise. Now I have a new user who is on a brand-new system (but still Windows XP) who is having the same problem.____We use a server copy, and I have tried to uninstalling, rebooting, and reinstalling the program. We have checked drivers, and still no improvement. At the same time, we have at least two systems running the program that are still able to print (and therefore have extra work because only 2 out of 4 people who need the software can use it).____I did find the instructions on the version 10 error about changing a specific DLL file to OLD instead, and I tried that as well, but it didn^t make a difference so I changed them back to DLL. Any recommendations?

Correction to original problem:____The update was installed about the same time we started seeing problems (a month or so ago). Since it^s a manual update instead of a full update, it apparently doesn^t update the "about" screen with the build listed.

When exactly do you see the error. Can you open the report in the designer, choose File Print, select a printer and then press OK or do those steps give you the error?____Kathleen__R&R Support

We do not get the error until we actually send the file to the printer.

Try opening the report, selecting the printer, and then close the print dialog without actually printing. Then save the report, close the report and re-open the report. See if this corrects the problem.____Regards,__Kathleen__R&R Support

Kathleen,____I tried that, but it didn^t help. I also tried to print a test pattern, and the report specs. The test pattern produces the same error, but the report specs will print. When we try to print the report or the text pattern, the printer sounds like it^s going to print, but it doesn^t actually print anything.

Do you have any other potential solutions for us to explore at this time? Thanks!
