Hi,____Please can someone help me??____I have just been introduced to R&R report writer in our company. I have read the manual provided with the software but I had no joy. The question I have been asked is as follows:____"Can we automate the reporting process"____We are using version 6.5 (I know it^s way out of date!!), and at each month end a set of reports has to be created - approx 30 reports. Currently this is done by manually imputting each required date and printing the report from there!____Is it possible to automate this multiple reporting process??____Many Thanks in advance!!____Raith Rahmani

The way that you do this is to use runtime.__You can create (or use the sample RRWRUNIN.DBF that comes with R&R)__a DBF file that contains one record for each report that you wish to run. The available fields for this file are described in the documentation.__You then use the command line:__RRWRUN.EXE RRWRUNIN____and each report contained in the file is run in turn.____Kathleen__R&R Support

Thank you Kathleen,____Can I ask if Runtime and VB come with the product as standard or are they purchased as an addon?____I have found both the executable files: RRWRUN.exe and RRWVB.exe but neither of them will open due to missing files and .dlls?____From your reply and the documentation am I right in suggesting that a separate runtime application has to be designed and added to R&R or am I barking up the wrong tree?____Thanx in advance...____Raith

If you do a typical install of R&R, you will get all of the required files for both the designer and runtime.__If you are missing files, I would suggest that you start by re-installing R&R.____Kathleen__R&R Support
