I have a client running on Windows2000. When they run a report, the screen appears for them to print, view or send to file. When they press view, the entire report displays with no problem. When they attempt to print the report, the get the following error:____"Attempt to release Mutex not owned by caller" and the system crashes. What is this? I looked it up on the internet and found some articles on this exact error. But, so far, I do not understand anything that is being described.____I am using Visual dBase as a program and call my reports using R&R Version 9 lastest files. The CDINTF.DLL file does not exist on this machine. I have other clients using Windows2000 with no problems!____Anyone know of any solutions to this error.

I had said that they were using Windows2000. I just found out that it is Windows98. Does not make a difference, the error still occurs. If you are interested in what is said about the very strange error, RedHat has a fix and information at http://sources.redhat.com/pthreads-win32____I have told my client that if they want to try the fix, go ahead, but I can not tell them to do so since I have no idea as to what it will do or how it works. I also asked them to forward me the results if they do attempt to use the fix.____If I find anything out, I will let you know.____Tom Freitas__

As information: When my client did the patch, the system functioned as it should. Problem solved!
