I am trying to create report using Report Writer v10 using Report Wizards and AS400 client Access ODBC driver against AS400 tables but failed to connect with the following error message:__^No table names were founded for this Data Source^ error ____I tried creating same report using Microsoft Excel using the same DSN and ODBC driver and it was perfect.____Any clue please.____Thanks__

Does the same thing occur if you create a new blank or instant report rather than going through the report wizard?____Kathleen__R&R Support

[updated:LAST EDITED ON Jul-08-03 AT 04:57 AM (EST)]This happens also for blank and instant report if I get into New report window using File/New.____It looks alright with Instant report if I go via File/New User-SQL. But I get blank result for the same query using Blank Report via File/New User-SQL____Can you also tell me the difference between Blank Report and Instant Report.____Also I don^t have a display of Master Tables when Instant report option is selected.________Thanks.

An instant report automatically places fields from the master table on the layout. A blank report gives you a blank slate so that you can determine which fields you want to add to the layout.____If you do an instant report via a new User SQL do the fields indeed get placed on the layout and appear in the Insert Field listing?__And when you preview, you see no actual field values?____What specific ODBC driver are you using?____Kathleen__R&R Support

[updated:LAST EDITED ON Jul-08-03 AT 07:52 AM (EST)]Instant report via a new user SQL is fine on both preview and actual field values. It^s the blank report via new user sql that I thought was now showing. But I think your explanation of how the two works seems to have answered my query on this.____Meanwhile, the ODBC driver I^m using is the AS400 client access ODBC driver (32-bit).____Any clue on the problem with the wizard and instant report via new sql.____Thanks.________
