Not an xbase serial number file?

Post by Derek_(Guest) » Fri Aug 16, 2002 11:34 am

I am trying to support a client who is experiencing difficulties using R&R version 6.5 for XBase. He is getting the error, "F:mw/rrw/rrwuser.dat" is__not an xbase serial number file" when trying to open R&R directly, outside of our program. A search of the help files and the web site did not produce any references to this message.____Thanks for any assistance

It sounds like the DAT file may be damaged.__To verify this, you can run the program RRWUSERS.EXE that is in the R&R program directory.__If you get the same error as you do when executing RRW.EXE, then the file is indeed corrupt and you would need to either restore from backup or re-install.____If the DAT can be read in RRWUSERS but errors when starting RRW.EXE, check to make sure that the user has write privileges to this file.______Kathleen__R&R Support
