ODBC error when using report wizard

Post by Richard_Ward_(Guest) » Fri Aug 27, 2004 6:41 am

Hi,__we have a customer who is trying to create a report based on a large view. The following error occurs after the view has been selected as the master table in the report wizard:____DB access: (Data Direct)(Oracle Wire Protocol driver) In SQLExtendedFetch, only SQL_FETCH_NEXT is supported for SQL_SCROLL_FORWARD_ONLY cursors____The same view can be used OK when creating a blank report, or if a master table is modified on an existing report.____The view also functions OK from within our application using the same datasource.____The drivers in use are Oracle Wire Protocol Drivers 4.2 and connect to an Oracle 8i database.____Any help or ideas on this would be apreciated.____Regards,____Richard Ward__Software Support Engineer__Warwick International Computing Systems

After the blank report is created, can you add fields to the layout and have them display successfully?______Kathleen__R&R Support

The blank report works fine, fields can be added and viewed OK, just seems to be in the report wizard at the point of selecting the mater table.____Had quite a few reports of problems selecting views in report wizard now, but not got all the details together as they all seem to be different errors. Will post them here when I have a list.____Richard Ward__Software Support Engineer__Warwick International Computing Systems__
