Output to a Network Drive fails

Using Win NT 4.0 and RapidRun from RR v 9.0.____I am using the "AT" command at the DOS prompt to run reports sets automatically with RapidRun. The problem is that if I have 5 reports in the set, all of which have the report.RRW locally and save the HTML output to different locations. 4 save locally and 1 saves to a network drive, the 1 that saves to the networked drive WILL NOT RUN or save. This is really getting frustrating as I then have to manually trigger the report set to run (such tedious things I don^t want to do ;)____Can anyone tell me why I can^t use the AT command to automatically run reports and save output to networked drives?

Can you successfully save to the network drive from the Report Designer?____Kathleen__R&R Support

Yes, I can trigger RapidRun Manually and it will save successfully to the network drive. It is only when I try to use the AT command at the DOS prompt that it won^t save to the network drive. The syntax for the AT command is as follows____at 08:00 /every:M,T,W,Th,F "d:programs
eportwriter
apidrun.exe" "d:userfilescommon
eportssales.set" /run____When the set it automatically run from AT, I get the following log file:____Set=d:userfilescommon
eportssales.set__2/21/02 08:15 am-08:16 am (0:01:25) Sales Report - Based on Order // Lo= // Hi= // Q=INRANGE(cms->ODR_DATE,{2/1/02},{2/28/02}).AND.cms->ORDER_ST2#"CN" // Parameters:2/21/02 08:24 am-08:24 am (0:00:03) sales_www // Lo= // Hi= // Q=INRANGE(cms->ODR_DATE,{2/1/02},{2/28/02}).AND.cms->ORDER_ST2#"CN" // Parameters: __!! Report could not complete: Cannot open file: I:siteshomewwwsalesindex.html____Yet if I manually trigger the same report set in RapidRun I get the following logfile which shows that the report was successfully written to the network drive (I:). ____Set=d:userfilescommon
eportssales.set__2/21/02 08:25 am-08:26 am (0:01:25) Sales Report - Based on Order // Lo= // Hi= // Q=INRANGE(cms->ODR_DATE,{2/1/02},{2/28/02}).AND.cms->ORDER_ST2#"CN" // Parameters:2/21/02 08:24 am-08:24 am (0:00:03)2/21/02 08:27 am-08:28 am (0:01:14) sales_www // Lo= // Hi= // Q=INRANGE(cms->ODR_DATE,{2/1/02},{2/28/02}).AND.cms->ORDER_ST2#"CN" // Parameters: ____This has really been buggin me as I am not sure why I can get away with one and not the other. I know that it is not a limitation of the AT command as the AT command is SPECIFICALLY used to trigger events to occur on other computers. So why then would RapidRun care how it was run before it saves to a network drive? If you can figure out this one I would be SOOOOO GREATFUL :) maybe it is a bug in RapidRun ? ____Thanks, ____Michael __

Does the error happen with any path/filename that you try for the output file?__What happens if you try placing the set file on I and try running it from there?____Kathleen__R&R Support

Kathleen, ____I have tried multiple paths and file names/types. It only seems to be problematic if the drive is a network/mapped drive. I have tried as you have suggested also in putting the REPORT.RRW on the networked drive and still received the error. I have also tried having both the REPORT.RRW and the REPORTS.SET on the networked (I:) drive and still have the same problem. I am not able to move EVERYTHING over to the other server as one is that data server and the other (I:) the web server. I have all my DBFs on the data server trying to write the HTML output to the web server.____Again, I have NO problems if I manually trigger the RapidRun Report Set, but I am looking for full automation here and using the AT task to accomplish this on everything BUT this issue.____Thanks for your continued help. Any additional ideas/suggestions are GREATLY appreciated. ____Next task, I will be putting the Report AND Set to the networked drive and trying to write the output locally, this will tell me if the problem is the networked drive, or just WRITING to the network drive. Will keep you posted.____Thanks, :)____Michael
