PreProc Calc Field Group Footer

Post by Lisa_(Guest) » Tue Jun 21, 2005 7:29 am

I have multiple reports doing the following type of calculation which used to report correctly in ver 65 and older, but broke in version 80. I thought perhaps Version 11 would ^fix^ itself, that perhaps someone else had brought it to your attention, but I don^t think that was so. I have installed the patch 11.006 and it is still a problem. ____I have a Group Footer Band Line displaying a pre-processed calculated total. There are no conditions on this field. The field is created as from a nested Scan table. Meaning, I have my master table, a field scans one table which then scans another table. From version 8.0 and higher, this band line is calculating one extra field of my nested scanned table, thus adding an additional value that is incorrect. ____Have you heard of this problem before? I ended up having to recreate the report in Ver 11 from scratch correctly and cannot see why my same Ver 6.5 report does not report correctly when exploded into Ver 11. I^m nervous to deploy version 11, but 65 is really becoming unstable. ____Thank you for your attention,__Lisa

The best way for us to evaluate this would be for you to send along some sample data and the report itself.____Kathleen__R&R Support__livesupport@livewarepub.com

Thank you. Altering the Scan Order of my multiple scan tables adjusted the results to be correct.
