Print to wrong bin RR v10+, rp1 rpt

Post by Cliff_Wiernik » Mon Feb 09, 2004 10:54 pm

I am using windows version 10 with some rp1 reports that have not been converted to rrw format. Every thing was working okay. Then the client added a new canon printer with a envelope feeder that shows up as bin 1. The normal bin is bin 3. Printing via the imported rp1 report causes output to go to bin 1 in error. For word/excel, it properly goes to bin 3. They tried to set the printer to use paper source bin3 instead of bin1 and it appeared to have no effect. ____If I loaded the rp1 report into the rr v10 report designer, under page setup, it shows paper input bin instead of automatically selected. What does this paper input bin setting actually mean and is their anyway to control this short of converting 500 reports to rrw format at this point.____Cliff Wiernik.

What if the user installs a different printer driver just for use with R&R?____An RP1 file gets interpreted differently that a report that has been created/saved in Windows and there is really no way around this other than trying a different printer driver or re-saving the reports as RRW files.____Kathleen__R&R Support
