Printer Misdirection

Post by JLAWSON » Tue Aug 31, 2004 10:55 am

Hi,____Using R&R 9.0, we have several reports created as form letters and they are all directed towards one main printer (printer 1), but there is one user using an XP machine that appears to print at another printer (printer 2) although the report defaults still point at printer 1. The network people say that his login script is the same as other members of his group who are printing these letters correctly. Are there any ideas you can think of?

With XP we have to set up a network printer as a "local" printer.____When adding a printer in XP, first indicate that it is a "local printer attached to this computer." Next, select the port of the desired network printer. Then proceed to install the printer driver, etc.____Randall
