I just purchased Ver 10+. I loaded it and set up my reports to run with the new version. ____I am still getting print errors when printer selection screen comes up. All is ok if I click on the Properties button but if I do not then the report crashes. ____Do you have an answer. I thought ver 10+ was the fix for this.____Please help.____Thanks__

Which printer are you using? Are there multiple printers installed on this machine?____Kathleen__R&R Support

I have two printers that I can select from a HP Desk Jet 3820 and a HP Deskjet 520.____Its the same old problem, when the printer selection window comes up prior to viewing the report and if you then select ok you will get an error. If you select properties button first then the Ok it will run the report. When you select the properties button you do not have to select any thing else just click the button. ____The problem is that my customers do not want to have to do this everytime they print. And I must agree.____Your tech support told me that ver 10+ corrected this problem.____I have been sure to put the new rrwrun.exe in my directories with all of the support files that your documentation said. I went in to my reports with ver 10+ and saved them back.____Do you have any other ideas, thanks in advance,____Shaughn

Hi:____If you are using runtime, you can avoid this by not displaying the printer selection dialogue, (? in RI_WPTR). You can still allow your user to print to screen or printer. Windows XP seems more susceptible to this problem than other OS^s____Hope this helps____John

That is fine as long as you don^t need to select a printer. In our network environment it is often a necessity to select the printer you wish to use. What is the solution then?

I have had this problem for a while - I tried to get help in the forum a couple of months ago.____It only seems to happen with the way some printers are set up. For me, the only way to fix it has been to force some users to use the default printer. I^d love to see this fixed.

If you are using runtime, you can program your own select printer dialogue box. When the user selects the printer they wish to use simply fill the RI_WPTR field with the name of the printer selected.____This is not too difficult, yell if you need help.____John Lewis__Datapro@dial.pipex.com__
