Printing problem

Hi All,____When I preview the report everything is fine until I hit print button. For some reason it keeps on not printing to my Win default printer. Is there a reson for it?____

What version of R&R and what printer are you using? Do you get an error message?____Kathleen__R&R Support

I^m using R&R XBase Version 9.0. No error messages, it defaults all users who use the application to print to some printer in the property. I^m really baffled.____Thanks for the reply!

The problem is that when you print a report and then re-save it, the report remembers the last printer selection. Then if someone else uses the report on a different computer, it will still default to the printer that was selected before the save. You can change a report^s printer and re-save it, but I have not found a way to make a report revert to the Windows default printer after one has been saved with the report. I am working on a similar problem in a network environment. If one of my ideas works, I will re-post.

If you are using V10 and above you can add the line:____PRINTER=DEFAULT____to the DEFAULTS section of your RRW.INI file to tell the report designer to ignore the saved printer and use the default printer instead.____We do save the printer with the report and will use the saved printer if it can indeed be found on the user^s machine.____Kathleen__R&R Support
