Programming with R & R

My company is using an ASP to host our payroll system. We access it via a terminal server connection. All the files and R & R reports reside on the ASP^s server. If I install R & R locally on my PC, will I be able to use any of it^s programming features to automate and control report generation from my desktop after logging into the ASP server? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.____
