I have a series of reports that extract various data for a web upload and everything worked fine when these reports were on an NT server under pervasive 2000i.____When I migrated the series of reports to the new server environment(Windows 2003 with Pervasive 9.5), I am now getting what appears to be an issue with the left outer join on one of the reports. The other seven reports work extremely efficiently (runtime reduced from 4 hours down to 1 hour).____I have rebuilt all of the data files up to pervasive 9.5 and re-segmented the data files as well. If I change one of the joins from a left to a skip, the report responds within 15mins, I have checked the join fields and they are all aligned and are part of an index.____Under the old setup this report ran for approx 5 hours, but under the new setup and after running for 16hours and reading over a billion records (yes that^s right) there is no response.

Have you asked the folks at Pervasive about this?__I am assuming that the only change was on the backend and that is the same version of R&R running on the same machine without any changes. Is that correct?____Kathleen__R&R Support

Yes, the only change made was the Windows and Pervasive software upgrades.____I haven^t contacted Pervasive yet.

I have contacted Pervasive and have had no luck with this.____So I have set up a separate server with 2000i and Windows 2003 and still get the same issue, however, if I run this same report through my PC, which is XP, I get an immediate response.____Could this mean that the issue is with the Data Direct ODBC driver conflicting with the servers Window 2003?

I have contacted Pervasive with no luck.____So I retested this report on a new server which had pervasive 2000i and Windows 2003 and still had the same issue. I then reran the report via my PC which is XP and had an almost instant response.____Could this mean that the Data Direct ODBC is conflicting with the Server^s Windows 2003?

Further testing has revealed that Arpeggio v10 does not allow left outer joins. Do you have any suggestions on how I can work around this?

Was this working prior to the Pervasive update?____Kathleen__R&R Support
