R&R 9 program conflicts with others

Post by CharlieB_(Guest) » Thu Nov 29, 2001 10:42 am

I have a client with five PC^s (PIII Dell Workstation class) running various versions of Windows 2000 w/ SP2 installed. This client prints jobs exceeding several GB^s. She runs Seagate Crystal Reports, R&R Report Writer 9, MS Visual Studio 6, and MS Visual Foxpro 7. When she attempts to print, a non linear number of pages are spooled (to a file or to a printer, local or network) then the application disappears from the screen and the processes disappear as well from task manager. This problem only occurs on two of the machines. One has Win2k Pro installed the other Win2k Server. My question is this: Is there a relationship between system dlls used by R&R and those modified by the programs mentioned above? I know that Visual Studio and FoxPro only reside on the two affected machines. Any suggestions?

We would only install common files if our were later than those already installed.____Have you done a detailed comparison on what is different about the good vs. bad machines?____Kathleen__R&R Support
