R&R and Windows10

Post by Tom_(Guest) » Wed Aug 19, 2015 9:47 am

I purchased a Windows10 laptop for testing my applications on. The runtime R&R works perfectly fine on Windows10. I have not tried the actual R&R on Windows10 yet, only the runtime.____As information, Microsoft is giving Windows10 away for FREE until July 2016 for those with Windows 7 and up. Also, if you upgrade to Windows10, you will have the ability to revert back to your previous version, if you do it within one month of the upgrade.____Google upgrade to windows 10______Tom

I was able to run R&R Report Writer 7 on Windows up to and including Windows 7. However, it will not install on my new computer running Windows 10, 64-bit. All I want to do is run my old reports. Would ReportWorks Lite install on Windows 10, 64-bit, and allow me to use my old reports?__

Make sure that you have all the proper runtime files in the folder where the reports are. You can find the file listings by starting ReportWorks, clicking on Help, Topics and in the index type in runtime than select Required Files.____Tom

The issue is that prior to ReportWorks 12.5, the product included a number of 16-bit components, including the installer.____Newer versions of Windows no longer support the 16-bit subsystem.
