I am running Window 7, 64 bit software and wondering where to put all of the R&R files "properly" for the runtime. ____1. Where does the "rsw.ini" file go? Does rsw.ini recognize path "c:program files (x86)" or should it be "c:progra~2" __2. What about the other R&R files? __3. Does anything go under the Wow6432 folder?____Thanks,____Dan____I have it running with my application Paradox, but am getting erroneous errors. For example I load application with R&R runtime and everything prints great. I turn off the computer and turn it back on and now I get no printing. So was wondering if the placement of the files is critical.

I think the easiest way to make sure that all the files for the runtime are in the right places is to perform an install and select the "Viewer Only" option. There are too many variables with settings to give you a list of files and folders.

The viewer only option is one of the choices that appears at installation when the CD is inserted in the drive. This option does not require a serial number, but installs the necessary files and registry entries so that your reports can be viewed. The "viewer" is either RRWRUN.EXE or RSWRUN.EXE____When you click on Start / Programs / ReportWorks Infinity / SQL, the choice is "SQL Viewer" and when you click on Start / Programs / ReportWorks Infinity / Xbase, the choice is "Xbase Viewer"

There has to be a better way. With version 12.0 and prior, we have the runtime in a single directory on the server and the rrwrun program is started from the data directory using a shell command like:____
rwv12
rwrun runtimecontrolfile recnum____This is extremely convenient. It this not possible with version 12.5 anymore. I hope that is not the case????____Cliff

rwv12
rwrun runtimecontrolfile recnum____is still possible with 12.5.____Minimally you need rrwrun.exe and rrpd.dll in the runtime folder.____Kathleen__R&R Support__
