R&R8, HP5 printer on Windows 2003

Post by M._Streich_(Guest) » Fri Oct 10, 2003 9:59 am

Our network has recently upgraded to Windows 2003 server and users can no longer use HP5 printers. They receive an error message which says:__ __Cannot match printer or port in control file.____The control file is set to use the Windows Default printer.__Has anyone run into/solved this problem?

What happens if you simply leave RI_WPTR as blank?__Reports should then go to the saved printer and if that is not found then to the default printer.____Kathleen__R&R Support

Thanks for the response. By the time I was able to try this, the tech guys had downloaded and installed an updated driver which seems to have fixed the problem. Another case of the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing.
