RE: Data Direct ODBC driver

I upgraded to 10+ expecting the new ODBC drivers from DataDirect to be more stable and to take advantage of other Version 10 fixes. However, I have not been able to connect to a simple Excel file with 3 rows and 3 columns since I have installed the Step-Up upgrade. ____The error message is:____[Data Direct][ODBC Excel Driver] Cannot open stream book OLE Error Code (2)____Can anyone interpret this error message?__I have no problems using the Microsoft ODBC drivers when trying to connect with Access and/or Excel files in Version 10 (non step-up version)____Mike P.__Buffalo - NY__

You need to save your Excel file in 5/97 format to use the Data Direct Excel driver.____Kathleen__R&R Support

Great! That worked...__Thanks for the prompt reply.____I take it that the DataDirect driver for Access files is also restricted to the Access97 file formats...____MIke Pelone__Buffalo - NY

There is not a Data Direct driver for Access. Only the one from Microsoft.____Kathleen__R&R Support
