You can hire one of our consultants to do a conversion for you. There is no automated utility that can convert between R&R and Crystal.____Kathleen__R&R Support

Kathleen,____can you provide a contact to a consultant able to convert >500 complex reports to Crystal Reports? Due to DBF limitations we have to drop the DBF format (we will reach 2GB filesize in 2 years) and obviously there seems to be no way to survive this limitation sticking with R&R (which we do since 20yrs)...____Kind regards__Stefan Ungemach

Hi Stefan,__I recall that you are using Advantage Database Server. The current version of R&R ReportWorks does support tables and memo files > 2GB. Our only limitation is with super-large indexes.____In any event, we^re working on version 12.6, which will incorporate more ADS compatibility as well as some other enhancements.____Contact me at: c strasser <at> liveware pub <dot> com____and I^ll send you a link to the new alpha version of the product.

There is no reason to drop the dbf file format. Using the advantage database server, you can support virtually unlimited dbf files and up to 4gb cdx files. Using a database server for large files and in a windows environment only makes sense.____With Reportworks, the larger dbf can be supported and currently up to 2GB cdx files. Only for special instances would your cdx^s go into the 2-4 gb range.____We have been using these large file sizes with ADS for many years nows and have been using Reportworks for the large dbf files for about 5 years. We currently do have to work around the 2GB limit on one file, but Liveware is working on that.____Cliff.
