Reading the last record from a file

Kathleen,____I have a database, which contains a record for each date. I need to pick up the data from the last record everytime I run a report.____This is a database file and does not contain an index. Every daty it gets added with a record and the corresponding date.____I have to read this record and pick up the date.____Would appreciate your immediate assistance.

Put the field on a summary band. As long as you are not sorting the report, it will show the value for the last record in the table.____Kathleen__R&R Support
