Redirecting a Report in 8.1.023

Post by jhporter » Wed Sep 19, 2007 12:23 pm

I have a report containing over 200 totals and 100 calculations that I wrote against our production database. I now need to redirect the report to an historical copy of the database. However, any attempt to redirect certain Related Tables (those related to a scanned table)fail. ____I^ve tried the following:____1) Redirected R&R to start up on the new drive.__2) Shortened every alias to a single character.__3) Removed all queries.__4) Redirected every interdependent Related Table back to the first Related Table.__5) Changed the order in which Related Table were edited (from primaries 1st and secondaries last; to secondaries 1st and primaries last.)____Some of these tries have succeeded stopping error messages from appearing and allow me to "save" to report. However, the report specs always reference the original drive.____Any ideas on how I can adjust this report?____TIA!

The easiest way is to make the original tables unavaible (by renaming the folder where they reside) and then attempt to open the report. When R&R does not find tables in the saved location, it will look in the default data folder and then prompt you to re-select if it cannot find them there.____Also 8.1.023 is an extremely old version and some of what you are seeing may not be present in a later release.____Kathleen__R&R Support
