Report Works 11 runtime not working

Post by Daithi_c » Fri Feb 09, 2007 1:17 pm

We have a client who is running ReportWorks 11 reports via a MS Visual FoxPro 8 application on a Netware Server on Windows 2000 and Windows XP workstations.____We originally installed the ReportWorks 11 run-time on the workstations, but the OLE ActiveX object would not run the run-time report viewer.____We tried installing the full ReportWorks 11 Report Developer (including all ODBC files) and the reports work correctly.____Did we miss something during the run-time install which would permit the run-time only install to allow the reports to run using the run-time files only?____Thanks,____Dave Connolly__IT Shared Services__Province of Prince Edward Island__

P.S.____I tried creating an install package using the files outlined in the Help Chapter 7 Distributing Reports for the Viewer Executable (including the files for NT/XP/2000), Viewer DLL, and OCX.____After using the developed runtime installer we are still unable to run reports in the application.____Any help with that issue would be appreciated.____Thanks,____Dave C.__

[updated:LAST EDITED ON Feb-12-07 AT 02:51 PM (EST)]Thanks for the reply.____I had a look at a few other postings, and the ReportWorks manual, and found that adding ProgDir32= to the [Defaults] section of RRW.INI and RSW.INI allowed the FoxPro application to find the runtime files correctly.____Please consider this thread closed.__
