Report in use message

I have R&R 8.1 and recently upgraded from Windows 95 to Windows 2000. With the upgrade came the problem of the report in use, do you want to make a copy message. I read with great interest previous postings about this problem - I did not have a cdintf.dll to begin with. I added Librarian=off to rrw.ini file in the Defaults section (made it the first entry in that section). This did not help. Has there been a successful troubleshooting suggestion that I missed in this discussion forum?

Under what circumstances do you see this error?__If you start RR and select open an existing report and select the report file from explorer do you see the error and do you see it every time? Or is it when you open the designer and select a report from the MRU listing?____Also- are you on a Novell network?____The Librarian and the PDF printer driver only apply to R&R Version 9.____Kathleen__R&R Support

I can always open a report through Explorer or on the Document List through the Start button. But if I try to open a report once in R&R and going from one report to another OR if I start R&R and choose Open Existing Report. I can sometimes go to one report to another without getting the message but no more than 3 in a row - most of time though I can^t go to the next report without getting the message. I don^t know what you mean by MRU listing.__We are on a Novell network, version 4.81

The problem is definitely an interaction between Novell and R&R.____If there are ANY Novell users out there who do NOT see this problem, please let me know because maybe there is a Novell setting that makes a difference.______Kathleen__R&R Support

Here^s more info on this problem. I have a set of reports I run within R&R just for my own use. I just ran over 10 different reports in a row without getting this message. Each report I made a change in the report, ran it & choose the next (File -> Open), when it asked if I wanted to save changes, I clicked Yes and it opened up the next report. Each report, same thing. Then I ran a report but hadn^t made any changes & went to the next one, I got the report in use message.
