SQL Data Sources - R&R SQL 10+

For a client/server platform, is there a way to specify a SQL connection string in the R&R INI files? ____Or does each workstation need a system data source name (DSN) for R&R to determine the report data source?____Roger

The data source is saved with the report.__You can use runtime to override the saved data source with one that existing on the client machine.____Kathleen__R&R Support

So when distributing reports, the client workstations which print the reports do not have to have a DSN?____The report will use the data source stored with the report?____Roger

The client machine will need to have a configured data source whose name matches the one saved in the report.__The data source exists externally to R&R. R&R simply remembers its name and information about the tables it contains.____Kathleen__R&R Support
