Slow RR10

Post by jerryray » Tue Apr 29, 2003 12:10 pm

I am using Prof XP with Service pak 1 2.66GHZ p4 1mb pc2100 ram wd 80 gig w 8mb buffer.____It takes 10 seconds to load RR10, under win 2000 it takes 3.8 secs and under 98 takes 3 seconds.____Does anyone else find RR10 to load this slow under XP pro?____I have tried a setting under rrwin.ini defaults printer= my printer____If I set compatibility mode to win98 it loads in 4 seconds, but when exiting displays an error, but loads fast.

Try also setting PDFDriver=0 in the Defaults section of the RRW.INI.____Kathleen__R&R Support

I noticed this also with the runtime. I hope the next release will take care of this. Can the .ini file be placed in the same directory as the runtime so that it won^t affect any other R&R runtime that may be running from another vendor?__-Pat-
