Hello,__On a computer, where R&R is not installed, I start a xbase programm, then start a report out of the xbase programm. I use the same rrw files as in version 9 and copy all but only *.dll and rrwrun.exe files from the R&R installation folder to the folder on the other computer where the xbase programm starts. There is no R&R ini file or something like that__With the version 12 it take 3 to 4 times long as with the version 9. What can be the problem?__Thanks__Wolfgang

It is the loading of the PDF printer driver that is the likely source of the problem.__You can either remove the file CDINTF.DLL or can add the line:__PDFDRIVER=0__to the DEFAULTS section of c:windows
rw.ini____to disable the driver.____Kathleen__R&R Support

If use use PDFDriver=0, does it only prevent the preloading of the pdf driver and still allow PDF^s to be created, or does it prevent using PDF^s. ____We currently remove cdintf.dll and manually install the PDF driver to avoid this slowdown since it also occurs with previews.____>It is the loading of the PDF printer driver that is the __>likely source of the problem. __>You can either remove the file CDINTF.DLL or can add the __>line: __>PDFDRIVER=0 __>to the DEFAULTS section of c:windows

it only prevents the pre-load by R&R. If the driver is already installed, R&R will be able to use it to create PDF files.____Kathleen__R&R Support

Karen - How do you install the driver so that R&R doesn^t have to pre-load it when starting. I have seen on numerous occasions where your solution is to make the PDFDRIVER=0, but when I have done that it also prevented me from creating PDF^s.

In the PDFFILES folder of the R&R CD there is an INSTALL.EXE along with a text file describing how to use this installer.____Kathleen__R&R Support
