Boxes print as filled in black

Post by SimonBray » Fri Nov 22, 2002 7:44 am

With R&R SQL V9.009 we are finding that if you use box drawing fields these will display/print fine if the report is run directly from R&R Designer but display/print as black filled in boxes (hiding the fields that were placed inside the rectangle) when run from RSWRUN.____Has anyone seen this feature before ??____Simon Bray.

Check the file version of both RSWRUN.EXE and RRPD.DLL.__The only time I have ever seen the box problem is when these guys are crossed versions.______Kathleen__R&R Support

Now I am getting confused - I seeem to have a version of RSWRUN.EXE dated 1st July 2002 with version number 10.0.1.0 although I don^t have R&R V10 - as far as I am concerned I have R&R 9.009. My version of RRPD.DLL on my C:WINNTSYSTEM322 directory is showing as 9.08.0 . My RSW.EXE is dated 13-Sep-2001 and is Version 9.09.0.____Regards,__Simon Bray.

My guess is that you were sent a newer RSWRUN.EXE to correct a problem. To make the boxes print correctly with this newer RSWRUN.EXE you do need the newer RRPD.DLL (which your RSW.EXE will not like however). If you can put the runtime files in a different directory that the designer, then you can have both.____Kathleen__R&R Support
