System Upgrade - mapping

Post by Maurie_Ash_(Guest) » Thu May 29, 2003 12:08 pm

I have tons of reports which I have set up to use files on a Novell File Server and we are moving to Windows 2000(3) Server with reorganization of files and mapping. Is there a way to change master fileand relationships in reports without needing to open designer for each report?

There is not a utility to write updates to a report file other than using the designer to open and save.____Kathleen__R&R Support

I have the same problem. My question is this:____When I update update the location of the master table, it appears to update the relationships as well. Is this all I have to do? I am just wanting to confirm this, in case I am missing something.____>There is not a utility to write updates to a report file __>other than using the designer to open and save. __>__>Kathleen __>R&R Support __

if you^re using the RR runtime - the easiest way to change PATHs to the dbfs is using the RI_MASTER entry in the runtime text file.__see the RR Help file on "Developing Applications" for more details.____I use a text-type runtime control file and with just a quick change with notepad - the shortcut runs the runtime and all the data locations are now correct.____good luck.__
