Text embedded in horizontal Line

This is a big problem. I have not been able to add text to a form without the text being embedded in the horizontal line. When designed, the box shows the text being above the line, however when displayed/printed the text is embedded in the horizontal line. If the horizontal line is standard line weight and black it is annoying to read the text. Is there any way to have the text fall above the line like all other software? I have had to change my horizontal lines to silver to be able to read the text. This is really a problem for form layouts, which I have many. Can this be fixed? If you make your band line a free form line and turn off snap to grid, you should be able to position the line and the text on the layout and have it print just as it appears in design mode.____Kathleen__R&R Support

The text line I am talking about are database fields placed above the horizontal lines. When you run the display to show the database text value, they are shown in the horizontal line and I don^t know how to get them out of the line. Regular text can be moved and you can move off of line. Data fields with text seem to act differently. I have example, if I can email you?____Dan
