Good morning,____I have recently been getting error messages and can^t access my Infinity reports all of a sudden. Running XP Pro SP2, on Novell 6.0 network with 10 users. If there are no other users, things seem fine, but if there are more than a couple, I get these errors:____When running Infinity, I get a message "Cannot open database table (table may be in use). When I look up the error message, it refers me to a possible problem with insufficient file hands, and that error message says to try and increase the file handles in RRW.INI above the default (55). I can^t find the RRW.INI file, and the line the refer to isn^t anywhere (RRWHANDLES=). Confused, I am.____In addition,I am getting a windows error as follows:____"Windows was unable to save all the date afor the file \WYOWESTSYSRRINFI~1RRW.GID".____Any suggestions?____

Sounds like there is a confusion in locating files rather than a handles issue. The GID file is a temp file that the help system uses and it should be saved to the R&R program location. ____Kathleen__R&R Support

Hi again Kathleen,____I was looking in all the other messages and I found another reference to the problem. It appears that somehow the parameter "Allow other users to update database tables in use by R&R" in the Defaults settings was unchecked. I have since checked it and all seems to be back to normal again. It appears this causes more quirks than just the one regarding "Cannot Open Database Files".____BTW, when is the upgrade for Infinity due out, or do I have to __request it?____Thanks agian,____david__
