Use Index on master table in MOM 6

Post by David_(Guest) » Thu Dec 06, 2007 12:52 pm

I wrote a report linking the Items table to the CMS and Cust tables to get various info. I would like the report to use indexing, as it takes a long time to generate the report when we run it. I have used a starting value, but it is still slow, as the database gets bigger each day.____How do I get the report to use indexing, and get the ^Use Index" checkbox to be available so it will go straight to a certain order instead of searching for it?____

In the master table dialog select the index file CMS.CDX and the tag ORDER. Click the numeric radio button to tell R&R that it is a numeric index.____Then as the low scope enter the first order number that you want to include in the report.__This should speed things up.____Kathleen__R&R Support
