V11 problem

Post by the_boss » Tue Jul 05, 2005 7:43 pm

We have a sales report created in V10 that sums up various product categories represented by a memvar. ____The memvar is summed up in four bands, daily, weekly, monthly and yearly. It works perfectly in V10. V11 changes the daily memvar totals arbitrarily from memvar to memvar_y or memvar_d etc. Attempts to correct more often than not results in computer locking up.____Anybody recognize the problem? Is there any help?

I am confused by what you are trying to describe.__Are you saying that R&R changes the reset level for saved totals?____Kathleen__R&R Support

There are three group footer bands representing daily, weekly and monthly totals. Each band totals on the record represented as a memvar for its appropriate time period. Example: memvar_d totals memvar on a daily band; memvar_w totals on memvar on weekly band etc.____The problem arises when RR changes memvar_w from the saved memvar to memvar_d or memvar_w. This problem does not occur in V10.

A better example would be the multi-edit feature where three bands are totaled on a salesfield. After saving it, the total fields do not hold the the the salesfield. Instead it totals on itself. Editiing often causes the computer to lock up.____We are using XP Professional
