Version 11 upgrade

Post by Peggy_Kuhn_(Guest) » Thu Jul 14, 2005 1:18 pm

How can we upgrade to Version 11 but still maintain our .RP5 libraries (not split them out into .RRW files) ? We still save our reports in version 8.1 (to maintain our .RP5 libraries) and use runtime 10+. Thanks.

i understand your need to keep reports in report library files (RP5) - but there are SO MANY NEW FEATURES in RR since version 8 that you are missing out on - - - there^s a whole new world out there - you should really redesign your use of the RR runtime to use the RRW files from the latest release.____ok - that^s my opinion...__(i^m off the soapbox now)____nick__

this is a great opening for the RR folks - since there are probably a number of people still hanging back....____i will respond if they don^t - but i am just a typical RR user - and have been using RR since the DOS days - and been trying to keep up with the most current version for one BIG reason - the latest version will have the "fixes" needed to run on the latest windows versions from Microsoft... the cool features in each new version of RR are a side-effect - - - ____nick__
