I have very little experience with VB. But I was wondering if it is possible to run a specific R&R report by running a VB macro from Excel?__I have set up this report with a text file which exports the results to an Excel file. __Right now we run this report then copy/paste the data to another excel file. I have a macro that does the copy/paste part but I was thinking if it wouldn^t be possible to also run/export via the macro.__What do you think? Possible?____R&R XBase 8.1.023

Have you ever heard of this being done/attempted? I^m not necessarily looking for code just verification that it^s possible, if it^s worth the time delving into it. Maybe other folks in this forum have an idea...?

I will TRY to point you in the right direction. Not a simple task without having some VB in your background.____Read R&R_s Developing applications within R&R^s help file.____Misc info to start:__This is an excellent source for Excel help and tips. This gentleman has written numerous books on Excel.__http://www.j-walk.com/ss/excel/usertips/formulatips.htm____Review the below link on how to make a form in Excel. You can call (show) a form with a macro once your form is completed.__http://www.microsoft.com/exceldev/articles/bulkmail.htm____On your form you will add a component called _R&R SQL report Control_. Make sure you look at the properties of the control. There are numerous settings you can make. You will then put a command button on the form which will call the R&R SQL report control which in turns calls your saved R&R report.____In conclusion, not simple but can be done.____

Thanks for the suggested reference material. Hmm, yes it does sound complicated. The little experience I^ve had with VB has been intriguing and I would like to learn more, figuring out this task will certainly help, to say the least. In the meantime, I^ve set up the running and exporting of the report through Scheduled Tasks in Windows which will work more or less. I just wanted to give users more control in when to run the report.__Thanks again.
