File permissions are the likely culprit as long as the file really exists. Recheck your command line spelling as the first thing just in case it is as simple as that.____Kathleen__R&R Support

[updated:LAST EDITED ON Feb-21-03 AT 08:59 AM (EST)]The control file name should be passed on the command line that calls runtime. Inside of that file you would check the values of RI_WPTR and RI_WPORT to make sure that they match available printers. If both are left blank, R&R will try to use the printer that is saved with the report and if it is not found, will instead use the default printer that is set on the machine. ______Kathleen__R&R Support

Hi, I have not found the command line that calls runtime.:( I have found the file RRWRUNIN.DBF which i think is the control file. It has the values for RI_WPTR AND RI_WPORT shown below:-____RI_WPTR C×__ ( __RI_WPORT Cÿ__ ( ____and it looks to be encrypted, I^m I going down the right roads? cuz i don^t seem to be getting very far.

RRWRUNIN.DBF is a database file. Instead of viewing it in a text editor you can create a report against it in order to view its contents. But you would need to edit the file if you wanted to change any values.__If you do not have a DBF specific program such as Foxpro, you can alternatively resort to opening it in Excel.____Kathleen__R&R Support
