Win XP Custom Form Settings Ignored

I am running R&R v 11 and Win XP. On the development machine, somehow I can force R&R to recognize the custom form settings. On the client machine running the Runtime version, I cannot get the report to recognize the page size settings.____I am trying to print mailing labels to a wide carriage tractor feed printer, 14.88x11. 44 labels/page. The example printer I^m using happens to be an Epson LQ 1060, but it doesn^t seem to be a printer driver issue, as I^ve tried other printer drivers.____I have created a Custom Form using the Windows Server Properties and named it, using the above dimensions. In my report, I refer to the saved Custom Form for the Page Setup. I have also set my default printer to be that label printer. I have altered the paper size to be the new custom form name. ____In R&R, I have a user defined label type, 4 columns across. 3.5 x 1 inch tall.____Main Problem: I can^t get any other client machine running that report to recognize this report paper size. R&R treats it like a Letter Size document having only 30 labels. 3 col by 10 high. ____Although, when I call the Runtime Report from my application on the Development machine where the report was created, it works.____Problem 2: The R&R Page Setup has inserted its own right margin using Ver 11 when I choose my custom form and I cannot erase it. In version 6.5, R&R does not intervene with the margin setting. I do not know if that will become an issue or if I^ll be able to scoot the labels over on the tractor. Just something I^ve noticed. ____Thank you in advance!__Lisa

The problem is a bug in R&R. When you use a form size that is set as a Server Property (as in XP) rather than at the printer level (as in NT or Win98) R&R can only remember the saved form size on the machine where the report was saved. So if you have two XP machines and both have the same defined form size, the report will work correctly on the machine where it is saved and not on the second machine.__The only current workaround is to open and save the report on the machine where it needs to be run.____Kathleen__R&R Support

What do you recommend we do for our client machines using the runtime versions? This is a big obstacle for mailing labels and statements that we offer.____Is there a demo version they can open/close the report in?

Again this seems to be similar to the issues I posted about in my topic V:10 Printing issues. All Liveware keeps saying is that this is a bug in R&R, but they don^t solve it. We have had all types of printing issues since we started using the software. We started with version 9, then I was told that version 10 should help solve the printing issues which it didn^t. Now version 11 is out with the same bugs. Every other piece of software we use can print to all our printers (multiple tray selections & paper sizes) except R&R. Someone needs to solve this bug.

The printing bugs that remain are tray selection and XP page sizes.__Some printing bugs (such as the need to use the Properties button when selecting a printer interactively at runtime) have indeed been corrected.____Each release that we make contains some new functionality and a number of bug fixes. It it true that there are indeed known bugs that are present in the current shipping release.____It is sometimes extremely challenging to track down the source of each bug within the program. And when you are changing code there is the additional risk of breaking other things along the way in the interest of fixing something.____Kathleen__R&R Support

In which version was the need to click the properties button resolved? This is one of our biggest issues. We are running the Xbase edition 10 build 10.1.002

When evaluating this custom form fix, please note that for the tractor feed printers, R&R is imposing it^s own margins that have not been defined on the custom forms. ____Thanks,__Lisa
