Windows 2000 Terminal Server

Post by saminns » Fri Nov 02, 2001 4:04 pm

We are running R&R SQL Report Writer v8.1.025 with Access on a Windows 2000 Terminal Server. There have been several problems...____1. Freezing with the database as a result of multiple rswrun.exe threads being generated.__2. R&R was originally set up with a single printer, but when that printer is offline, the R&R program doesn^t even work.____I know this is pretty vague. I^m just wondering if anyone else has any experience running R&R on a Win2K terminal server.__

I would need more detail on the freezing problem to be able to offer any suggestions.____R&R does save a reference to the currently selected printer when a report is saved. So when you open the report it does try to locate/use that printer. If you are using runtime and always want to use the current default printer, in your runtime control file you can set RI_PRINTER=DEFAULT and we will immediately go to that default printer.______Kathleen__R&R Support

Try locating the data on a FAT 16 partition on the server.
