Wizard ... Report building

Post by Gerardo_Arce_(Guest) » Fri Mar 08, 2002 6:43 pm

R&R version 9.0________When attempting to create a new report using the wizard (and only that one) option, we get this error message box:____"Run-time error ^339^:__Component ^spin32.ocx^ or one of its dependencies not currently registered, a file is missing or invalid."____This error occurs only on the workstations, works fine in the server.____

When you installed, did you do a custom install and select install to network server?__When you do this, R&R puts a copy of SETUP.EXE onto the server and then you need to run that copy of SETUP from each workstation. This copies the required local files and registers things so that the report designer can be successfully executed.____Sounds like this did not happen in your situation.____Kathleen__R&R Support

There is no setup application in the installed folder. The new R&R version (version 9.0) we got from GEAC is single user.

You need to choose the install type as Custom to do a network install and have the file SETUP.EXE get installed to the server.____Kathleen__R&R Support
