Xbase Export Speed with 10.0 xbase

Post by Tom_Mills » Sun Jun 29, 2003 9:55 am

I^ve been having isolated problems with exporting a large number of records to an xbase file. It will work fine on some reports and on others it crawls such that an export that used to take 2 minutes will take 3 hours.____Yet others will zip through the same number of records just fine.____It started with upgrade to 10+ and I could even isolate a case where 10+ would creep and 10 would not. I^ve promised to get files to R&R for testing.____I took my machine back to 10. But some reports still creep. I wonder if there is some residual 10+ stuff around like ODBC.____At this point I^m wondering if anyone else has seen this?

If you had installed any ODBC drivers they would still be around from 10 but would have no interaction with any V10 functionality.____Out of curiousity, if you use the Result Set browser and then save that to DBF, is it also slow?____Kathleen__R&R Support
