dBase Ansi files with R&R

Post by infocon » Wed Dec 03, 2003 5:00 am

I am an user of R&R 10.1.003 xBase __I develop applications with DBF files, CDX indexes and CA-visual Objects 2.5b3 __ __Problem __If I create the files like Ansi (Code page 1252) when visualizing the data __from R&R the special characters of the Spanish language don^t appear (áéíóúÑñ) __I have to create them with the OEM format (Code page 850) so that they see each other __correctly. __There is some form of managing files Ansi with R&R and that they are shown correctly __the special characters of the Spanish language? __ __Suggestion __It would be more practical to be able to define two keys to relate files. One for the inferior limit ( Top scope ) and another for the superior limit (Bottom scope). This way they could be seen, for example, the details of a client __from a date until another. Now, it is necessary to relate for the client and to filter for the date. ____Another suggestion __R&R international. Most of tools can be configured in many languages. __Reason R&R not?. ____Greetings. ____Enrique Lama__InfoCon S.C.A.

R&R is configured through the file RRW.SRT that is in the R&R program directory.____You should uncomment the line in the file that says:__;DBCHARS=ANSI____by removing the semi-colon at the start of the line.____Kathleen__R&R Support
