multiple value index key

I am trying to link 2 tables together using pre-defined related table index. The tag contains more than one index key. I keep getting the same error: "linking and index key are different types".____Any suggestions?__thanks,

You need to make sure that the data type of the selected linking field is the same as the data type of the index key expression.____Kathleen__R&R Support
