runtime command line syntax error

Post by Richard_White_(Guest) » Thu Aug 12, 2004 1:26 pm

I have just upgraded to rr version 10 from the xbase dos/netware version. I am setting up the command line to run the new runtime "rrwrun.exe" and the runtime shows io for a short period of time then stops and does nothing. The command line is: c: rver10 rwrun.exe /t"c:zdev ept rwrunin.dbf" 20. The number 20 is the id of the report I am trying to run.____What am I doing wrong? Is my syntax correct?

=> runtime command line syntax error

Your syntax is correct.__You need to check the output status file RRUNOUT.DBF and see if there are any error messages.__It is possible that you have a no records found condition if no explicit error is shown in the status file.____Kathleen__R&R Support

Kathleen,____Thanks for the info. I checked the rrunout file and it did not show an error. It also did not show todays date on the file list. So I am thinking that it was not updated. Also when i execute the command line disk io takes place but sill nothing appears on the screen and all of the print queues are empty.____I am using the rrwrunin file that came with rrver10 and loaded it with the data that was in my original rrunin.dbf file. also added the report id field. could it be that this file is not in the right format? Does it matter how many fields are in this dbf file. i know that you need the report name and couple other fields?____What else can I check?____Richard
