We had been using v6.5.08 for some time with out any problems, but to keep up with modern technologies we decided to upgrade to v10+. However after a seemingly routine install we are getting a few errors when we exit the system:__"RRW caused an invalid page fault in module <unknown>" (on Windows 95 and Windows 2000)__"The instruction at ^0x780034d2^ referenced memory at ^0x524f435f^. The memory could not be ^read^" (Windows 2000 only).____The above messages also appear when we try to save a report, and after clicking OK to them the system crashes. It does however save the report.____The other error message we get is:__"This printer could not be upgraded becuse its driver (acpdf157.drv) could not be loaded. Please reinstall the porint from the Printers folder". Have tried renaming the CDINTF.DLL file but this made no difference.____Any assistance in try to utilise the many enahncements of the latest version would be greatly appreciated.

Is it possible that there is more than one copy of CDINTF.DLL available on the machine?____Kathleen__R&R Support

No, there was just the one file (have made a search to confirm this) and this has been renamed.____Any other suggestions?______Regards__Dale

Try disabling the Report Librarian by setting LIBRARIAN=OFF in the Defaults section of the INI file and see if that helps.____Kathleen__R&R Support

What functionality will be lost by turning the librarian OFF? Also I have noticed (from the help file) that there is a PDFDriver option in the Ini file which can be switched ON or OFF, what effect will this have if I set this to OFF?____Thanks

I change the LIBRARIAN switch to off and now do not get any of the errors. I would still be interested to know what this actually does within the system.______Many thanks Kathleen

The report librarian archives information to a set of DBF files.__Even with Librarian set to off, you can run the Librarian executable RLRL.EXE to check it out. The default Login ID is ADMIN with no password.____Kathleen__R&R Support
