Citrix and Printing Reports

Post by Brett_Ogletree_(Guest) » Mon Jul 15, 2002 7:07 pm

Several reports that were converted from R&R XBase to R&R SQL will only print to one printer. They will not print to the user^s default.__I^ve seen several postings concerning using the RI_WPRT=DEFAULT setting, and a posting that recommended re-saving the report after choosing the correct printer. But, I^m not having any luck. Can you clarify the use of RI_WPRT (where do you set this?)? And, how do I save the report so that it prints to my default printer?

You might also want to look at this posting:____Dean Parry __unregistered user__ Jul-12-02, 01:08 PM (EST) __ __6. "Exiting When saving on 2000/Citrix"__In response to message #5__ __ It appears to be a problem of long printer names. When logging into the Citrix server it inherits the local printer name and appends the client name to it - creating a printer with potentially a very long name.__R&R saves printer information with each report - it seems to crash because it can^t store the printer name correctly. We also experienced problems when trying to preview the report specification.____Try changing your default printer to one with a shorter name. It worked for us.____Hope this helps,____Dean____ __ __
