Creating PDFs with RR6 in DOS

Post by Dale » Thu Jan 29, 2004 1:38 pm

We are running some reports in RR6 from the DOS shell of Windows 2000. We^d like to auto-generate these reports in PDF format. Has anyone done this? Which is the best product? I^ve looked at PDF995 and PDFzone, but they don^t talk about DOS and that concerns me.____Any help will be appreciated.____Thanks,__Dale__

The days of DOS seem certainly to be numbered.__At some point you will indeed need to migrate your application to windows it would seem.____Kathleen__R&R Support

__What I do is create printer files (PRN^s) via R&R and then convert the PRN^s to PDF^s via a command line PRN to PDF converter from Visual Software.____Long filenames is supported.____http://www.visual.co.uk/Pcl2pdf.html______

PCL2PDF works great. It is a DOS command line, and it converts the PCL file created by R&R dos to PDF. In other to create a PCL with R&R make sure the printer selected is an HP laserjet.____Good luck...__Sergio
