Detecting no records found

Post by Owen_Graupman_(Guest) » Mon Jan 21, 2002 6:32 pm

Is there any way to determine if no records were found to report on from either within the report, or from OCX control properties after the report is executed? Right now, when we execute a report that finds no records, the preview screen flashes briefly then disappears (We^re using the OCX control from within our VB program). I cannot find any OCX properties to indicate no records were found.____Thanks,__-Owen Graupman____

When a runtime report has no records found, it will still print the title and summary bands.__So if you add a line to the summary and put the text "No records found" you can add a logical condition to this line (such as a field from the database that would always have a value) and select print when false.__When the report is run, that line will print.____Kathleen__R&R Support
