Digits cut off when printing
Digits cut off when printing
I have posted this issue before but as there has been no further reply I thought I would try it again to see if anyone has experienced the same thing or if anyone can make a suggestion for a solution...____I am using RR Version 9 Xbase. We are using the Report Writer i.e. to create offers with prices. Now on some Workstations we discovered that digits/decimals for prices are not printed while on others the figures are printed correctely.____Sample:__Price EUR 2,50__will print on some workstations only as EUR 2 - cutting off the decimals figures.__Fields are set up with decimals and contain round() for 2 decimals. Regional Settings are identical on the PC^s.__Runtime version has been setup on the PC^s and is identical on all Workstations.____Now why does the same report with the same fields print correctly on some WS while not on others?__Are there any further settings (apart from the Regional settings) that are read by RR? Any registry entries?__Currently we have this issue on NT Workstations.__Is this a known issue? ____Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!__
=> RE: Digits cut off when printing
It is not a known issue but potentially it is hardware related so that this workstation uses some other internal factor that would influence floating point computations.______Kathleen__R&R Support

But that is my question - what else is read by RR on a WS apart from the Regional settings and what could influence a RR report to not print digits on a PC?__Which "other internal factor would influence floating point computations." ?__ __As RR9 has been released for NT and 2000 I would normally not expect problems as the described issue...

Floating point is done by the system processor.__So what you are seeing could indeed be a hardware issue.__If it is the same report/same data as on other machines, then you should see the same results.____Kathleen__R&R Support
