Upgrading from SQL 6.5 to SQL 9.0

Ask any questions you have about purchasing R&R ReportWorks. Will it work with my operating system? Will it access my database? Can I convert my old reports?

Upgrading from SQL 6.5 to SQL 9.0

Post by Chris_Ransom_(Guest) » Fri Apr 05, 2002 5:51 am

I^m having problems with a report in SQL 6.5 which keeps crashing with RSWEXE caused a general protection fault in module RSW.EXE at 0015:00002fb3.____Kathleen has suggested upgrading to V9.0 but the cost of upgrading a 5 user license compared to buying the product new is very high (why??) and I feel the problem is a bug which I should not have to pay a huge amount to get fixed, I am only willing to upgrade 1 user license to V9.0 and see if it solves the problem. Is it possible to do this? What would happen to the other 4 licenses still under V6.5? Also I^m told you can no longer create libraries in V9.0 - is this true? If so it seems a rather odd, backward step.__
