Up till now our data was secure because we did not deliver our ddf files. We used the Btrieve API calls and internal definitions. Now we want to use a good Report Writer like yours.__The problem is:____How does anyone connect without exposing the DDF files. Is there an__alternate way to do this? Obviously with DDF files anyone can buy a DataDirect Driver for Btrieve/Pervasive and access the files. I know, I downloaded the trial DataDirect Driver and had no problem getting in. ____Someone suggested having the DDF packed into the resource for the EXE that calls the report writer and write them out while the report writer is being called from the EXE and then erasing them when they are done. This has the problem of what to do with many users needing access etc. ____Would upgrading to SQL V8 do the trick?____Bob Mechler
